Does Lumi upload my recordings?

No. Recordings, transcripts and the index stay in a folder on your Mac, and Lumi never uploads them. Your AI client reads only the excerpts it asks for.

It depends on where you and they are, and many places require everyone's consent. Lumi records everyone on a call, so tell people before you record, or stop recording for that call.

Yes. Once Apple's speech model has downloaded for your language, Lumi records and transcribes without a connection. With a subscription, it keeps recording for up to 14 days after its last license check.

Can I choose what Lumi records?

Yes. Turn screen or audio off, pick which displays to record, and stop recording any time from Lumi's window or a shortcut.

How much disk space does Lumi use?

It depends on how much you record. Lumi's settings show how much it stores, let you move its folder, and can compress or delete older recordings.

How do I delete what Lumi captured?
